Beeper, a messaging aggregator startup, brings iMessage to Android with its Beeper Mini app. Developed by a 16-year-old who reverse-engineered the iMessage protocol, Beeper Mini allows Android users to send and receive end-to-end encrypted iMessage chats. Unlike other apps, Beeper Mini is a native implementation that does not rely on a Mac server as a relay. The app encrypts messages on the Android device before sending them to recipients, ensuring privacy. It supports all iMessage features, including group chats, and is available on the Google Play Store with a free trial and a subscription fee of USD 1.99 or Rs 199 per month.
