A gold smartphone promising to be “built in America” may actually be made in China.
Trump Mobile, a new mobile service venture launched by the family of US President Donald Trump, entered the spotlight this week with a flashy announcement at Trump Tower in Manhattan.
The offering includes a $499 handset, dubbed the T1 Phone, and a mobile subscription plan costing $47.45 per month.
But while the device is being heavily promoted as “designed and built in the United States”, experts and industry analysts remain unconvinced.
