Why some Apple Watch owners must be careful with their watches

The legal battle between Apple and Masimo has halted sales of Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra Series 2, impacting older models as well. Out-of-warranty hardware repairs for several Apple Watch models are now unavailable. Apple has informed customer service employees that repairs and replacements for Apple Watch Series 6 onward (except SE) will be unavailable during the ban. Repairs under warranty are unaffected. Apple is working on a software update to avoid patent infringement.
