Workers at Samsung’s Sriperumbudur unit on strike after company suspends 3 employees

A section of employees at Samsung’s Sriperumbudur plant, just outside Chennai, has gone on strike, again. The latest bone of contention between these employees and Samsung’s plant management has to do with the allegedly unjustified suspension of three employees at the plant.

While employees on strike claim the suspension was on account of their affiliation with the recently registered Samsung India Workers Union, the company claims the employees were suspended for disciplinary reasons.
